Crofton Junior School

Dates for the Diary

Latest Junior School Calendar Parents Events

Dear Parents and Carers, Following the Government announcement yesterday, I am writing to confirm that Crofton Infant and Junior schools will remain closed after the Christmas break, in line with all Bromley schools. Monday 4 January was already designated as an INSET day, and we will be using this to make our final preparations to move to remote learning for all year groups with effect from 5 January. Further details about remote learning will follow. If your child is entitled to free school meals, we are making arrangements for meal boxes to be delivered through the Morrisons’ scheme which we have used successfully when children were self-isolating last term. Although the schools are closed, we will remain open for the children of key workers and for vulnerable children. The categories which are regarded as key workers were set out during the national lockdown, and these are set out in this document; If you are designated as a key worker, and you need your child to attend school, please let us know by e-mailing the headteacher e-mail at either the Infant or Junior school. ( or Please let us know this as soon as possible, and by Sunday 3 January at the latest. Once we have collated the responses, we will provide further information about how the key worker provision will be delivered. You will appreciate that this change has been announced at very short notice, and please do bear with us as we work through everything that needs to be put into place to make all this happen. Kind regards, Susie Sargent Head Teacher
