Travel Explorer Ambassadors

TEAs promote active, safe and independent travel within our school community. Through the training they have received from the Bromley School Travel team, they have been able to confidently deliver informative road safety assemblies and organise a range of engaging competitions that highlight the importance of safe travel and to try to reduce traffic in the local area. They have been actively raising awareness of school travel issues by using creative approaches to involve pupils, such as designing posters and campaigns, and awarding badges and prizes to celebrate participation and effort. These pupil-created materials have then been displayed around the school to reinforce key messages. As a result of their continued efforts, there has been a noticeable increase in active travel over the years, with more parents and children choosing to walk, scoot or cycle to school, contributing to a safer and healthier school environment.
